2012 Mentoring Reception: Creating Successful Mentoring Relationships

This networking reception will provide students and lawyers who are presently participating in the PALS Mentoring Program an opportunity to meet their mentors or mentees face to face. 
 
We also encourage all New York City area law students of color and attorneys interested in future participation to come and learn about the Minority Law Student Mentoring Program, as well as PALS.
 
Mentoring relationships are rewarding to both parties and are essential in the professional world.  We encourage all attorneys to share their own experiences on the giving and receiving end of mentoring relationships.
 
We request that all PALS students who have been assigned a mentor take this opportunity to contact their mentor to arrange to meet at this event.  

Students waiting to be matched are welcome to attend the reception as well, however mentees will not be matched at the reception.  

Please spread the word about this reception to attorneys who may be interested in volunteering as a mentor to a law student of color.   We have had tremendous student response this year and we still have many members who need mentors!
