Event Description: Do you know how to present yourself effectively and successfully? This workshop is designed to help law students of color prepare for the fall recruiting season by identifying the key aspects of an interview that legal employers look and listen for when they interview law students for positions as summer associates, interns and clerks.  The program will also offer participants the opportunity to participate in mock interviews and receive critical feedback on interviewing skills. Learn how to communicate who you are, to give yourself the best opportunity to secure your next job in the legal field.

Event Timeline:

 

3:15pm – 4:15 Panel – Hiring Panel
4:15 - 4:30pm - Attorney Check In
4:30 – 5:10pm - Student interview#1
5:15 – 5:55pm - Student interview #2

6:00 – 7:00pm  Cocktail Reception 

Attorney Interviewers:
 
Attorney Check-In 4:15pm - 4:30pm
 

1) Attorneys must arrive at least 15 minutes before they are scheduled to interview. Interviews begin at 4:30.

2) Attorneys will be given a list of observations that PALS would like them to address with the students.

3) Attorneys are requested to commit to the 1 1/2 hours of interviews or share the time segment with a colleague from their firm.

 
Reception - Open to all participants.  From 6:00 - 7pm
 

Students will be matched with attorney interviewers one week prior to the workshop.  Students will send their resume's to their assigned interviewers prior to the program.  Please review the Event FAQs here.
