Spring 2008: PALS Members Serve as Moot Court Judges at Brooklyn High School

6/13/2008

As 10th graders, students at the Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice(SLJ) are offered Constitutional Law as one of their social studies requirements.  Con Law students get to participate in one of the school's most exciting bi-annual events: Moot Court Week.  For a solid 5 days, twice a year classes are transformed into a series of back to back Supreme Court sessions.  Armed with precedent and well prepared oral arguments, legal teams present their case before the court.  Legal professionals and law students serve as a panel guest justices, delivering challenging questions, ruling on the case, and offering feedback to the students.  Visit SLJ at www.sljhs.org
