Prerequisites:
Attendees MUST meet the following requirements:
- Attendees must be law students of color, First time bar takers who attended one of the 13 New York City Area Law Schools
- Intend to sit for the July 2010 New York State Bar Exam
- Must be currently enrolled in a full-time Bar Review Course (e.g. Pieper, BAR/BRI) for Summer 2010.
- Students must be PALS Members (registered on the mailing list).
- Students must commit to attending ALL FOUR SESSIONS (space is very limited)
- MUST RSVP NO LATER THAN June 4, 2010

Professor Lakin will review and discuss common bar exam fact patterns used by the New York Board of Law Examiners to test major rules of law. He will also discuss and review commonly made errors in reading, analyzing and writing bar exam answers.
Professor Lakin has successfully taught the PALS Supplemental Bar Tutorial for several years. Professor Lakin was formerly associated with the New York Board of Law Examiners where he participated in drafting of Bar Exam essay questions and model answers. He also participated in drafting New York multiple choice questions. Professor Lakin has lectured for BAR/BRI Bar Review for many years. He has also graded thousands of Bar Exam essays.
Please Note: This program is a supplemental tutorial. It is intended for law students of color who have graduated and who will sit for the New York State Bar exam in July 2010. This program is available to 1st Time Bar Takers from the 13 NYC area law schools only. No exceptions will be made.
This program is not for LLM students.
Registration is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.
